SIMPLE PLEASURES x REFINERY 29
My whimsical outlook on life is often captured in my images. So when Refinery 29 asked me to photograph my new normal—balancing motherhood while working from home—the challenge was to find silver-lining moments during a time when there’s so much uncertainty in the world. I documented simple luxuries: coffee in bed on Saturday mornings, outdoor movie nights, family yoga in the living room, and lazy afternoons outside (in which I discovered that four-leaf clovers really do exist). It’s not about being the perfect mom, the perfect partner, or having the perfect routine: it’s about experiencing little bursts of joy amid the chaos, seeing the magic within the mundane.
